12 Instagrammable Spots Around Charlotte

Do it for the ‘Gram!

Whether you’re in need of a new profile photo or just looking for the perfect place for your latest Instagram story or post, Charlotte’s full of great spots for Instagrammable moments. So grab your phone, get out there, and check out all the cool places Charlotte has to offer that’ll make your friends wish they were here.

Here’s my list of some of the top Instagrammable places around Charlotte:

1. Queen Park Social

Eat, drink, bowl, and more at Queen Park Social in South End! It’s located right across the street from Olde Mecklenburg Brewery and you’ll want to snap a photo as soon as you walk through the doors.

2. Haymaker

Haymaker’s warm and inviting atmosphere is a great spot for a date or a night out with friends. It’s located in Uptown right across from BB&T Ballpark.

3. Jeni’s Ice Creams

Jeni’s Ice Creams opened up last year in South End and has already proven to be a popular spot for sharing great photos. Whether it’s outside the shop, inside, or around the corner at the wall mural, Jeni’s vibes pair nicely with their ice cream.

4. Hawker’s Asian Street Fare

One of South End’s newest neighbors is Hawker’s Asian Street Fare. The Asia-inspired restaurant opened in February right next door to Jeni’s Ice Cream. The neon signage, quirky wallpapers, amazing food, and atmosphere lighting make it irresistible to snap a photo (or many) while you’re there.

5. Idlewild

No drink menu, just a lot of great ingredients to make the perfect drink you’ve been craving. That’s the concept behind Idlewild, a small cocktail bar that opened recently in NoDa.

6. Lincoln’s Haberdashery

Lincoln’s Haberdashery is the perfect chill spot for when you roll out of bed late on a Saturday or Sunday morning. It’s a great gathering spot for friends and family and it’s great, picture-perfect food and atmosphere will get you all the likes on that Insta-post.

7. NoDa

Honestly and especially if you are new to town, start your ‘Gram adventures in NoDa. NoDa is full of amazing murals from local artists. Follow their Instagram account so you always know what’s happening around the neighborhood. It’s full of great eateries and shops that will make your mural adventure worth it every time.

8. Merchant and Trade

Merchant and Trade is a rooftop bar and restaurant in the heart of Uptown. Located 19 stories above Romare Bearden Park, the owners told me they definitely designed the restaurant with Instagram in mind. And from the views of the city and one-of-a-kind drinks, it’ll be hard not to post for all your friends to see.

9. The Workman’s Friend

The Workman’s Friend is a gift to the already great area of Plaza Midwood. The pub’s atmosphere and food make it a gathering place for you and your friends on the weekend.

10. La Belle Helene

One word – beautiful. La Belle Helene is a little slice of France right here in the Queen City. Romantic and classy from floor to ceiling, you’ll fall in love with this restaurant.

11. City Lights Rooftop

One of the best views of Charlotte’s beautiful skyline is from City Lights Rooftop – the rooftop bar on top of the Sheraton Hotel in Uptown. The perfect spot for that Friday night out or a Sunday mimosa.

12. Fahrenheit

Another incredible view of the skyline comes from Fahrenheit. Also located Uptown, the views from this bar and restaurant will take your breath away. If you are new to Charlotte, I definitely recommend a visit. The views will make you feel right at home.
