This Alley in Uptown Isn’t Actually Called the ‘French Quarter’

It's a slice of New Orleans right in the heart of Charlotte.

Chances are you’ve heard of the French Quarter – it’s a small alley across from Romare Bearden Park that leads into Latta Arcade.

It’s unique for the cobblestone and small shops lining the walls, but you may be surprised to know it’s not ‘officially’ called the French Quarter.

That nickname comes from the restaurant on its corner – the French Quarter Restaurant.

The alley’s real name? Brevard Court.
