Crowders Mountain State Park has a lot to offer, from amazing views to a serene lake to a killer workout. Its most difficult trail is known as Backside Trail; it runs up the backside of Crowders Mountain, the park’s namesake. Although it clocks in at just under one mile, don’t be fooled. This trail is not for the faint of feet. Hikers go through a 600 ft. elevation change in a short amount of time.

Not to mention, the last part of the hike is hundreds of stairs.
