Alive After Five

With two stages, people will be able to pick their sound at this concert series. And since it’s right in the heart of Uptown, there’s plenty to do once it concludes.

Sounds on the Square

These concerts happen each Friday in the heart of Uptown featuring local musicians. In case of rain/other crazy weather, the concert will still happen. So be prepared to make this a weekly tradition!

Stonecrest Summer Concert Series

Concert goers will get double the opportunity to see performances at Stonecrest. Bands will perform both Fridays and Saturdays at this shopping center.

Downtown Gastonia Summer Concert Series

People gather at the Rotary Pavilion every other Thursday to jam out. Bands range from a Motown review to Blues.

Blakeney Summer Concert Series

Twice a week, Blakeney will offer free concerts now through August. You can get a list of acts performing in May and June on their website.

On Thursdays and Saturdays, people can head to the U.S. National Whitewater Center for River Jam, featuring national acts. (Parking costs $5)

For those who want to get their music fix during the day, this concert series happens right around your lunch break.

Also at Romare Bearden Park, this series touts ‘Uptown Sounds’ from a variety of artists. So, bring a lawn chair and relax as the sounds whisk you away.
