Beer-Flavored Ice Cream? Find It At Golden Cow Creamery

This South End staple collaborates with some of Charlotte's most popular spots to create great treats.

According to Alex Hannah, ice cream is incredibly creative. The amount of flavors are endless, and rarely (if ever) does anyone walk away unhappy. It’s a big reason he and his wife Liz decided to go into the business. Thus, Golden Cow Creamery was born.

Their original location sits in South End off West Summit Avenue with a newer location in South Park on Governor Morrison Street.

Flavor-wise, things are constantly changing. But you can always count on the most popular flavor at the locations – Salted Oreo.

You’ll also find some other local flavors in the mix from time to time. They frequently do collaborations with some of Charlotte’s breweries like Wooden Robot Brewery and NoDa Brewing. And the cookies they use for sandwiches? From Suarez Bakery.

The South End location is at 170 West Summit Avenue, and the South Park location is at  720 Governor Morrison Street. Hours vary by location.
