The Harlem Globetrotters Are Playing in Charlotte – And Breaking Records

The team will perform on New Years Eve with two games played at 1 p.m. and 6  p.m. The games will be held at the Halton Arena on UNC-Charlotte's campus as part of their 2019 Fan Powered World Tour.

The Harlem Globetrotters will be bringing their awe-inspiring talents to the Queen City!

The team will perform on New Years Eve, December 31st, with two games played at 1 p.m. and 6  p.m. The games will be held at the Halton Arena on UNC-Charlotte’s campus as part of their 2019 Fan Powered World Tour.

The Globetrotters offer over 20 opportunities before, during and after each game for fans to get a chance to directly interact with the team’s stars. They’ll also be bringing back the Flying Globies, a trampoline dunk team, to entertain the crowd!

In addition to bringing the show to Charlotte, the team celebrated Guinness World Record Day on November 19th! The Globetrotters set five new records this year, making their total count 21. Some of the records included “Most Blindfolded Slam Dunks in One Minute” and “Most Behind-the-Base Three Pointers in One Minute” – all requiring some impressive skill and ability!

This year’s squad includes legendary players like Big Easy Lofton, Ant Atkinson, Hi-Lite Bruton, Hammer Harrison and female stars like TNT Lister, Torch George and Hoops Green.
