Charlotte’s first indoor wind tunnel opens up on March 23rd. iFly features an enclosed flying environment, meant to simulate the feeling of human flight and skydiving. The facility is able to accommodate both experienced and inexperienced ‘flyers’ ranging in ages from three and up.
People receive training, a flight suit, goggles and helmet before leaning into the tunnel and floating into the air. iFly Charlotte-Concord offers STEM field trips and Flight School for younger kids, allowing younger flyers the opportunity to improve in the sport of bodyflight.
The Charlotte location features a party room and conference room that can be utilized for birthday celebrations, family outings and corporate events.
Prices start at $69+. The facility is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and located at 7840 Lyles Lane NW in Concord.
