Matthews Alive Festival celebrates thankfulness with ‘Attitude of Gratitude’

The festival will celebrate its 27th year.

When it comes to tradition, the Matthews Alive Festival has plenty of experience. For the past 27 years, Labor Day Weekend in the small town has meant music, vendors, and fun for every age.

The 2019 Matthews Alive Festival will be held Friday, August 30th – Monday, September 2nd.

Entertainment starts Friday night, August 31st, at 6 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. It picks up again that Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and goes until 10 p.m. On Sunday, music begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. The final day of the festival is Labor Day, starting at 9 a.m. and going until 5 p.m.

For those looking to attend the parade, it’s happening on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.

Bands performing at the festival this year include a Fleetwood Mac tribute band as well as country group Lonestar. 

While entry into Matthews Alive is free, the carnival midway will cost money to participate! You can get a sheet of tickets for $20 or an all you can ride wristband for $15 on Friday night. Don’t forget some extra cash for vendors and food!
