Boozy brew: PBR releases new spiked ‘Hard Coffee’ drink

Spiked coffee, anyone? If you need an extra boost to start your morning, you might want to consider trying Pabst Blue Ribbon’s (PBR) new Hard Coffee. The malt beverage, which was released earlier in July is made with rich, creamy milk and vanilla flavor with 5% ABV. The boozy cup of Joe is also made from Arabica and Robusta coffee beans.

It was announced in the company’s press release that the drink is “designed to meet the needs of the next generation of American consumers.” The company is also hoping to appeal to people with a “range of lifestyles.”

In addition to the 5 percent alcohol, the drink contains, the alcoholic vanilla iced coffee has 30 milligrams of caffeine per 11-ounce can. PBR officials are testing the beverage in five states: Pennsylvania, Maine, New Jersey, Florida, and Georgia.
